The applications of the banks Itaú, Bradesco and Santander were taken off the air on Monday (05), the day the registrations for PIX, the Central Bank’s instant payment system, began.
Three people consulted by the Bitcoin Portal – one from each of the affected banks – sent images of the screens of their applications showing the access problems.
On Twitter, Itaú responded to several customers who posted the complaints on social networks:
The Down Detector site, which monitors massive failures of application sites, also pointed out the failures in all three banks. The problems started to be registered around 10am and have not been solved yet. The opening for the registrations started at 9am.
